- 1 c. long-grain rice
- 2 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 2 c. chicken stock
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. ground white pepper
Directions

1Soak rice in water in a heavy saucepan for 30 minutes.

2Drain and discard water.

3Saute rice in butter in the same pan.

4Add stock, salt, paprika and pepper.

5Stir to blend spices.

6Cover; bring to a boil and cook 12 to 15 minutes or until rice is almost tender.

7Remove from heat and let stand, covered, until ready to serve.

8Serves 4 to 6.
