Pizza Style Macaroni

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef, crumbled
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 8 oz. small elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 2 (8 oz.) or 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce (with tomato bits)
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese
  • choice of pizza topping (pepperoni, salami, sausage, olives, etc.)

Directions

    Brown ground beef and onion in frying pan.

    In a 10-inch casserole dish, combine cooked macaroni and beef mixture.

    Add 1 1/2 cans tomato sauce, water and seasoning. Toss.

    Sprinkle top with shredded Mozzarella cheese and toppings.

    Pour the rest of the sauce and spread.

    Bake at 375° for 15 minutes.

    Yields 6 to 8 servings.
