- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1/3 c. ice water
Directions

1Mix well and form into a ball.

2Let rest in refrigerator for about 20 minutes.

3Cut ball in half and roll half just thin enough to be able to handle into a pie plate.

4Place filling into pie plate with bottom crust in place.

5Roll out top crust to same thickness as bottom and place on the pie.

6Bake the pie according to the directions given with the filling.

7Most 2-crust pies cook best when baked in a hot oven (450°) for about 10 minutes and the rest of the time in a moderate oven (350°).
