Directions

   Stir together baking soda and cornstarch in a saucepan.

   Add water and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches consistency of moist mashed potatoes (approximately 10 to 15 minutes).

   If cooked too long, finished ornaments may crack.

   Remove and put on a plate.

   Cover with a damp cloth.

   When cool, pat until smooth.
