- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 c. scalded milk
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 4 c. flour
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 1 c. more sugar
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water; add sugar, shortening and salt to the scalded milk.

2When lukewarm, add dissolved yeast and eggs. Gradually add to flour.

3Beat thoroughly.

4Cover and let rise until doubled.

5Stir down and let rise again until doubled.

6Stir together the last 3 ingredients.

7Take rounded teaspoons of dough and dip into melted butter; roll in sugar-cinnamon-nut mixture. Pile balls loosely in ungreased angel food pan.

8Let rise 30 minutes.

9Bake 30 minutes in a 350° oven.

10When baked, turn upside-down immediately.

11The rolls will be stuck together and are served that way, letting each one pluck off one or two.
