  • 1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onions
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp thinly sliced ginger
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 2/3 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup dry sherry
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp hot mustard powder
  • 4 large plums quartered and pitted
  • 1 tsp sesame seed oil
  • 1 dash kosher salt to taste

    put marinate on meat put into refrigerator 8-12 hours.

    remove meat /ribs boil glaze add the marinate to glaze return to boil reduce heat simmer till plums fall apart you can strain if you like .

    half the cup for serving with ribs the other half for basting ribs
