- 16 oz. yellow corn meal (I like Dixie Lily)
- 6 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Cook on medium-high.

2In a 3-quart pot, put water and salt to taste.

3Slowly pour corn meal while stirring.

4Keep stirring to prevent lumps to form until very thick.

5Lower heat to medium. Let corn meal cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

6Pour in a 9 x 9-inch glass pan.

7Cover with wax paper and let it stand for 15 minutes before serving.
