Polish Stuffed Cabbage(Gawumki)

Ingredients
- 1 head cabbage
- 3 bags sauerkraut, drained
- 5 large onions
- 3 cans mushrooms, drained
- 1 box fresh mushrooms
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1 c. rice
- 5 lb. chopped meat
Directions

1In pot, cook 3 bags sauerkraut, 2 onions (diced), all mushrooms and butter.

2Brown together and add more butter as needed.

3Parboil cabbage.

4Drain.

5Separate each leaf.

6Rinse 1 cup uncooked rice 10 times, then boil 15 minutes with approximately 1/4 teaspoon salt.

7Drain well and mix with chopped meat.

8Dice 3 onions and brown in butter and mix into chopped meat.

9Roll into balls and wrap each in a cabbage leaf.

10Place in large roasting pan you can layer.

11Spread sauerkraut mixture over top.

12Bake in 350° oven until meat is cooked.
