- 1 c. plain white cornmeal
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
- 2 c. boiling water
Directions

1Pour boiling water over ingredients and mix well.

2Form into pones about 3-inches long and 1 1/2-inches wide.

3Place on greased baking sheet.

4Put a little grease on top of each pone.

5Bake until brown in oven about 450° for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 8 pones.
