  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. white corn syrup
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 3 qt. popped corn
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Keep corn warm in a slow 300° oven.

    Stir and cook sugar, corn syrup, water, butter and salt until sugar is dissolved.

    Continue cooking without stirring until syrup forms a brittle ball or to 270°.

    Add vanilla.

    Pour syrup slowly over corn.

    Mix well. Grease hands and shape into balls.

    Makes 12 medium size balls.
