- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. Italian herb season
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- pepper
- 1/2 c. raw long grain rice
- 1 (15 oz.) can herb flavored tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. beef broth or water
Directions

1Combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, herb seasoning, salt and pepper.

2Mix well.

3Divide meat mixture into 4 equal parts.

4Shape each into a ball.

5Press each ball down slightly. Roll each meatball in rice.

6Place in a casserole dish.

7Combine the tomato sauce with the broth or water.

8Pour over the meat balls.

9Cover.
-
10Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until the rice and meat are cooked.
