- 1 to 1 1/2 lb. lean pork
- pepper and salt
- 1 or 2 hard-boiled eggs
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. powdered gelatin
- short crust pastry
Directions

1Roll out the pastry and line a pie casserole, reserving enough pastry to form a lid.

2Cut the meat into small cubes and season with pepper and salt.

3Dried mixed herbs may also be added.

4Fill the pie with the cut meat and sliced hard-boiled eggs.

5Dampen the edges of the pie and place the top in position.

6Leave a hole in the center.

7Brush the top of the pie with a little beaten egg yolk.

8Bake in a moderate oven for 2 to 2

91/2 hours.
