- 3 lb boneless beef chuck roast
- 4 small onions
- 2 stalks celery
- 2 small carrots
- 1 c red wine
- 1 1/2 T sugar
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 c soy sauce
- 3 whole green onions
- water
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Sear meat with 2 T oil. Sear all sides until brown. Brown veggies with salt and oil. Mix liquid ingredients, heat. Place meat on top of veggies. Pour sauce over. Cook for 3-4 hours at 300-350 degrees in the oven. Cover tightly.
