  • 3 lb boneless beef chuck roast
  • 4 small onions
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 small carrots
  • 1 c red wine
  • 1 1/2 T sugar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 c soy sauce
  • 3 whole green onions
  • water
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Sear meat with 2 T oil. Sear all sides until brown. Brown veggies with salt and oil. Mix liquid ingredients, heat. Place meat on top of veggies. Pour sauce over. Cook for 3-4 hours at 300-350 degrees in the oven. Cover tightly.
