- 3 to 4 lb. bottom round roast
- oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 (8 oz.) can Hunt's tomato sauce
- 1 can carrots (optional)
- 1 jar onions (optional)
Directions

1Place round roast in a little bit of oil in a large pot. Brown on all sides of the roast, adding salt and pepper to taste while browning.

2Add tomato sauce and cover.

3Cook on low for 5 to 8 hours.

4A can of carrots and jar of onions can be added during the last hour or two.

5Make gravy with the liquid, as desired.
