- 6 to 7 c. flour
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 c. warm, mashed potatoes
- 2/3 c. shortening and butter, mixed
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 2 eggs, beaten
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water and set aside. Combine potatoes, sugar, salt and 1 cup lukewarm water in bowl. Add yeast mixture, eggs and shortening-butter mixture.

2Stir in flour gradually.

3Mix well.

4Place in a greased bowl and let rise until double its size.

5Punch down and form rolls.

6Let the rolls rise until double in size.

7Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 6 dozen.
