Ingredients
- 5 lb. white potatoes
- 1 large onion
- 9 c. water
- 2 c. dry milk
- 1 lb. butter or margarine
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Peel and dice potatoes.

2Peel and cut up onion.

3Cook potatoes and onion in 8 cups water.

4When done, remove 2 cups water and reserve.

5Add butter to hot potatoes.

6Mix dry milk with reserved potato water.

7Mash potatoes coarsely.

8Add milk to potatoes.
-
9If desired, add additional water, salt and pepper to taste.
