  • 3 sticks margarine
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice or flavoring
  • 7/8 c. ginger ale

Directions

    Cream margarine and sugar together.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.

    Add flour, alternating last 2 cups with ginger ale.

    Add vanilla, almond flavoring and lemon juice or flavoring.

    Bake approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes at 275° or until cake springs back when touched.

    Makes 3 small loaves.
