  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 12 cups well drained crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (4 ounce) can green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 lb extra-sharp cheddar cheese, grated

Directions

    Saute the onion in the oil in a heavy frying pan over medium heat until it is soft but not brown,about 8 minutes.

    Add the tomatoes,chilies,salt,pepper and cheese and cook stirring until the cheese is melted.

    Serve with large corn chips.
