- 18 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups whole pecans
Directions

1In a heavy saucepan combine the first four ingredients and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.

2Continue cooking and stirring until mixture registers 236 degrees F on candy thermometer.

3Remove from heat and let cool to lukewarm (110 degrees F).

4Beat until mixture thickens and loses its glossy appearance.

5Stir in nuts.

6Drop candy in patties by spoonful onto buttered cookie sheet.
