  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. cooked prunes
  • 1 c. sour milk

Directions

    Sift flour, measure and sift again with soda and spices. Cream butter, sugar and eggs; add chopped prunes and mix well. Add flour and milk alternately.

    Beat until smooth after each addition.

    Pour into greased and floured 10-inch square pan and bake in 350° oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
