  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. prunes, cooked, chopped

Directions

    Beat eggs and stir in sugar and oil.

    Mix dry ingredients except soda.

    Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add alternately with dry ingredients to sugar mixture.

    Stir in prunes and nuts.

    Bake in greased pan for 55 to 60 minutes or until tests done.

    Remove from pan and frost.
