  • 9-inch pastry shell
  • 1 lb. vegetable or 1/2 lb. meat
  • 2 1/4 c. grated cheese (Swiss or Cheddar)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 3/4 c. light cream
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Bake shell at 400° for 8 minutes.

    Cook meat or vegetable. Sprinkle 1/2 of the cheese on bottom of cooked pastry shell.

    Beat eggs and cream together and pour over cheese.

    Sprinkle top with meat or vegetable and remaining cheese.

    Bake at 325° for 40 minutes or until set.
