  • 1 (9-inch) pie crust (shell)
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. light cream or half and half
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • few grains cayenne

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400°.

    Cook bacon until crisp; drain and crumble into pie shell.

    Arrange Swiss cheese over bacon.

    Combine remaining ingredients and mix for at least 1 minute.

    Pour into pie shell.

    Bake on lowest rack for 15 minutes.

    Reduce heat to 325° and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
