Quick And Easy Two Bean Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Turkey (I Used Turkey Breast, But You Can Use Regular Ground Turkey, Ground Chicken Or Lean Ground Beef)
  • 1 whole Medium Onion, Chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced (up To 3 Cloves, To Taste)
  • 2 whole Jalapenos Seeded And Minced
  • 2 cans (14 1/2 Oz. Each) Stewed Tomatoes, Undrained
  • 1 can (15-16 Oz.) Red Kidney Beans, Drained And Rinsed
  • 1 can (15-16 Oz.) Black Beans, Drained And Rinsed
  • 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder, Or To Taste
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cumin, Or To Taste
  • 1/2 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoons (Heaping) Tomato Paste

Directions

    In a Dutch oven, cook ground turkey, onion, garlic and jalapeno until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain fat.

    Stir in undrained tomatoes, drained kidney beans, drained black beans, chili powder, cumin, cayenne and cinnamon. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer covered for 20 minutes. Stir in tomato paste; cook uncovered for 5-10 minutes more or to desired thickness. Serves 4-6.
