Quick Beer Bread

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 to 2 3/4 c. unsifted white flour
- 1 1/4 c. unsifted rye flour
- 3/4 c. beer
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 pkg. (2 Tbsp.) dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. caraway seed
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Directions

1Mix rye flour with 1 1/2 cups white flour.

2Heat beer, honey and margarine to 105° to 115°.

3Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl.

4Add beer mixture, caraway seed, salt, garlic powder and 1 1/2 cups flour mixture.

5Beat until smooth.

6Stir in remaining flour mixture and enough additional white flour to make a soft dough.

7Knead on floured board until smooth, about 4 minutes.

8Shape into ball and place in greased 8-inch round pan. Grease top.

9Flatten to fit pan, cover and let rise in warm place for about 45 minutes.

10Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 375°.
