- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 4 c. self-rising flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Combine sugar, oil and buttermilk; stir into yeast mixture.

3Stir in enough flour to make soft dough.

4Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; knead 1 to 2 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.

5Roll to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a floured 2 1/2-cup biscuit cutter.

6Place rolls on heavily greased baking sheets; cover and let rise in warm place until doubled in bulk.

7Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
