- 1 lb. butter
- 5 lb. flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 12 eggs, separated
- 1 qt. sour cream or beer
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cake yeast, dissolved in a little warm water
Directions

1Cream the butter with the flour.

2Add sugar to egg yolks. Beat egg whites and add to yolks. Add sour cream or beer to egg mixture. Add salt and vanilla.

3Mix well.

4Add dissolved yeast and add to flour.

5Knead well.

6Let rise overnight. Roll out and shape into nut rolls.

7Let rise again in pans.

8Bake in a 325° oven until brown.
