- 2 c. raisins
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. sugar and cinnamon
Directions

1Cook raisins in water until water is absorbed.

2Set aside to cool.

3Cream shortening, sugar and eggs until fluffy.

4Sift flour with soda and salt.

5Add to creamed mixture with raisins and vanilla; mix well.

6Shape into small balls and roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon.

7Bake on greased baking sheet at 350° (do not overbake).

8Bake until puffy and remove quickly.

9Wait a few minutes before removing from pan.
