- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- milk
- 1/2 c. raisins
Directions

1Sift flour, salt, baking powder and sugar together.

2Cut in shortening.

3Add raisins.

4Beat eggs slightly and add enough milk to make 3/4 cup total.

5Stir into dry mixture.

6Knead lightly on floured board.

7Divide dough into fourths.

8Pat each into circle. Cut each circle into 4 wedges.

9Place on greased baking sheet. Brush top with milk and sprinkle with sugar.

10Bake at 425° for 10 minutes or until browned.
