Ingredients

  • 12 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 12 cups flour
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 12 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 23 cup raspberry jam
  • 14 cup water

Directions

    Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.

    Stir in flour, salt and soda.

    Add oats and water.

    Firmly pat half of the mixture into a greased 13 x 9 inch pan.

    Stir lemon juice and jam together, and spread over the oat mixture, keeping 1/4 inch from the edges.

    Sprinkle remaining oat mixture over the top.

    Bake at 350* for 25 minutes.

    Cool, cut and eat.
