Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. milk
  • raspberries

Directions

    Mix together sugar, shortening, flour, baking soda and milk. Add berries to taste.

    Pour mixture into square baking pan.

    Bake at 375° for 40 to 45 minutes, or microwave on High for 20 minutes. Texture will be like a cake.

    May need more cooking time.

    Check with toothpick in center of cake.
