  • 4 lbs raspberries
  • 2 cups vinegar
  • sugar
  • brandy (optional)

Directions

    Mash berries; add vinegar and let stand for 4 days, stirring daily.

    Strain; to each cup of liquid add one cup of sugar.

    Bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes.

    Strain and if desired, add 2 ounces brandy per quart of finished vinegar and bottle.

    Store in refrigerator.
