  • 1 lb. red beans
  • 4 Tbsp. bacon grease
  • bacon
  • 1 large regular onion
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 green onions
  • Creole seasoning, salt, pepper and 2 bay leaves
  • Tabasco sauce (optional)
  • 1 lb. beef smoked sausage
  • 1 lb. ham (ham steak)

Directions

    Cook the first 9 ingredients for 2 hours and then add the beef smoked sausage and ham.

    Add water as needed.

    Cook for a few more hours.

    Mash beans to thicken.

    Serve over rice.
