  • 1 large red cabbage
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 1-2 bay leafs
  • 1.5 cups of cider vinegar
  • 3/4 cups of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 30 whole cloves
  • 2 tbs bacon fat or vegetable oil
