  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

  • 1/2 c. water, boiling

Directions

    Mix flour, sugar, salt and cocoa.

    Mix soda into buttermilk. Add eggs and buttermilk mixture.

    In small saucepan, heat Crisco with water and add.

    Stir until smooth.

    Add vanilla.

    Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes, or until tested done.
