- 3 qt. cucumbers, sliced thin
- 1 1/2 c. pickling salt (not iodized)
- 3 medium onions, sliced thin
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. white vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
Directions

1Wash cucumbers; soak in ice cold water (salt water) with onions.

2Bring the sugar, vinegar, celery and mustard seed to a boil to make a syrup.

3Let the cucumbers soak until the syrup is cooled.

4Drain off salt water.

5Pour syrup over cucumbers and pack in jars.

6Refrigerate.

7Leave some room at the top of the jar.
