Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. Crisco
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 egg
- 5 to 6 c. flour
Directions

1Pour boiling water over sugar, salt and Crisco.

2Stir until Crisco is dissolved and cool mixture to lukewarm.

3Add yeast which has been dissolved in lukewarm water and egg.

4Mix well . Stir in flour to make soft dough.

5Rub surface with Crisco; cover tightly and store in refrigerator until ready to use.

6(Will keep one week.) Place out and let rise in pans.

7Bake at 375° for about 10 to 15 minutes or until light brown.
