- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1/2 c. shortening or a stick of margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 8 c. bread or all-purpose flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.

2Set aside.

3Cream sugar and margarine.

4Add egg, the 2 cups warm water, salt and 4 cups of flour.

5Mix and add yeast/water mixture.
-
6Beat about 4 to 5 minutes with mixer.

7Add rest of flour slowly until stiff dough or add by hand.

8Turn onto board and knead 4 to 5 minutes.

9Place in greased Tupperware or bowl.

10Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. Make into rolls and place in greased pan.

11Let rise 3 to 4 hours. Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes.
