- 1 qt. sweet milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 yeast cake
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. soda
- 8 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Scald milk with sugar and shortening; cool to lukewarm.

2Then add yeast dissolved in the warm water.

3Add the flour.

4Let rise until double in bulk and then add salt, soda and baking powder. Add additional flour (about 1 cup) to make a soft dough.

5Place in bowl.

6Grease surface of the dough and cover and place in refrigerator.

7Make rolls as wanted.

8Take out amount needed and let rise.

9Rolls will last a week or ten days.
