- 2 c. boiling water
- 2 eggs
- 9 c. flour, sifted
- 1 1/2 pkg. yeast, dissolved into 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
Directions

1Put shortening, salt and sugar in boiling water; cool to lukewarm.

2When cooled, beat in four cups of the flour and the eggs; beat real good.

3Add yeast.

4Stir in the other 5 cups of flour; mix real good.

5Leave out until doubled in bulk, then put in refrigerator until ready for use.

6Set dough out before using to let it warm some.

7Roll out on floured board; cut with cutter and dip in melted butter, before putting in pans.

8Let rise until double in pans.

9Bake at 350° until golden brown.
