- 1 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 heaping tsp. salt
- 2 c. water
- 2 eggs
- 6 c. flour
- 2 pkg. yeast
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water.

2Set aside.

3Pour 1 cup boiling water over shortening, sugar and salt.

4Set aside.

5When these mixtures have cooled, mix together and add eggs.

6Add flour, 1 cup at a time.

7Dough may require hand mixing.

8Put into greased mixing bowl.

9Spread a thin coat of oil on dough and cover bowl loosely with damp cloth.

10Place in refrigerator for at least 3 hours before using.

11Remove part of dough.

12Place on floured surface and roll out.

13Cut in 3-inch circles.

14Brush circles with warm melted butter and place on cookie sheet or in greased muffin tins to rise (approximately 3 hours).

15Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400°.

16Rolls can be prepared night before.

17Remove from refrigerator to rise at least 4 hours before baking.
