Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 4 c. self-rising flour or 4 c. plain flour and 1 tsp. salt and 5 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in water.

    Stir in shortening, sugar and egg and beat in flour.

    Store in refrigerator.

    Take out and use amount desired.

    Will keep for 1 week in refrigerator.

    Spoon into greased muffin tins and bake at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes.
