- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 c. warm water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 4 c. self-rising flour or 4 c. plain flour and 1 tsp. salt and 5 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water.

2Stir in shortening, sugar and egg and beat in flour.

3Store in refrigerator.

4Take out and use amount desired.

5Will keep for 1 week in refrigerator.

6Spoon into greased muffin tins and bake at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes.
