  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 12 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 23 cup water
  • 12 lb Italian sausage
  • 12 lb lasagna noodle
  • 12 lb ricotta cheese
  • 13 cup parmesan cheese
  • 38 lb mozzarella cheese

    In a large heavy skillet over medium heat, saute onions and garlic in olive oil stirring occasionally for 10 minutes.

    Add beef and saute 8-10 minutes until just pink.

    Stir in bay leaf, oregano, savory, nutmeg, salt, pepper, and brown sugar.

    Heat and stir 5 minutes.

    Reduce heat to low, stir in remaining ingredients and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally for 1-1/2 hours.
