- 3 garlic cloves, diced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 12 teaspoon oregano
- 1 bay leaf
- 14 teaspoon summer savory
- 14 teaspoon nutmeg

- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 23 cup water
- 12 lb Italian sausage
- 12 lb lasagna noodle
- 12 lb ricotta cheese
- 13 cup parmesan cheese
- 38 lb mozzarella cheese

2In a large heavy skillet over medium heat, saute onions and garlic in olive oil stirring occasionally for 10 minutes.

3Add beef and saute 8-10 minutes until just pink.

4Stir in bay leaf, oregano, savory, nutmeg, salt, pepper, and brown sugar.

5Heat and stir 5 minutes.

6Reduce heat to low, stir in remaining ingredients and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally for 1-1/2 hours.

7Cook lasagna noodles per instructions.

8Crumble sausage and saute 15-20 minutes over medium heat until cooked.
