  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 12 cups rhubarb, cut in small pieces
  • 23 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 12 cups flour
  • 12 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 13 cup white sugar

    Combine brown sugar, oil and beaten egg.

    In a small bowl, mix the milk, baking soda, salt and vanilla.

    Add milk mixture to sugar.

    Mix alternately with flour, beating well after each addition.

    Distribute batter into 2 greased and floured 8x4x3 inch loaf pans.
