- 1 bunch green onions, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 can consomme soup (add water to measure 2 c. liquid)
- 1 (15 oz.) can chili without beans
- 8 slices American cheese
Directions

1Cook onion in oil for 2 to 3 minutes.

2Add next 4 ingredients. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

3Put half of rice mixture in a baking dish; top with half of chili and then cheese slices.

4Repeat layers with remaining rice, chili and cheese slices.

5Bake at 350° until cheese melts, about 15 minutes.
