  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons soft shortening or 3 tablespoons liquid oil
  • 1 cup cold cooked white rice
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 14 cups milk
  • 12 cup cubed cheddar cheese

    Sift dry ingredients togther.

    Cut in shortening or stir in oil.

    Add rice, egg, cheese and milk; mix enough to moisten dry ingredients.

    Grease muffin tins.

    Bake 425 degrees for 25 minutes.
