Ingredients

  • 1 cup Minute Rice
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 14 cups water
  • 12 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine

Directions

    In a saucepan, combine rice, mixed vegetables, salt and water.

    Bring to a boil on high heat, then reduce heat, cover and let simmer for 10 minutes.

    While rice is cooking, heat 2 T butter and 1/2 C sliced almonds in a saute pan.

    Turn frequently until almonds start to brown.

    Add almonds to rice mixture.

    Serve.
