"Rice Pudding"

  • 1 c. rice
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 qt. milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 can evaporated milk

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Wash rice; boil in water to cover with pinch of salt.

    Bring to a rolling boil.

    Add milk, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla and evaporated milk.

    Bring to a rolling boil. Put in ovenproof bowl.

    Stir often.

    Bake until good and brown, for 1 hour, at 350°.

    Sprinkle with nutmeg.
