- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. sugar
- 9 egg yolks
- 2 c. butter or regular margarine, softened
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- confectioners sugar
Directions

1In large bowl of electric mixer, let egg whites warm to room temperature, about 1 hour.

2Preheat oven to 350°.

3Grease and lightly flour 10-inch tube pan.

4Sift flour with baking powder and salt; set aside.

5Beat egg whites until foamy at high speed with electric mixer.

6Gradually beat in 1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup at a time, beating after each addition.

7Continue beating until soft peaks form when beater is slowly raised.

8Turn in medium bowl.
