- 2 c. warm milk
- 1 cake yeast
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- flour
Directions

1Combine warm milk and cake of yeast.

2When yeast is dissolved, add shortening.

3Beat in large bowl of mixer the eggs.

4Add and beat well the sugar and salt.

5Add and blend the milk mixture.

6Add flour, one cup at a time, continuing to beat until enough flour is added to make a stiff batter.

7Let batter rise in mixer.

8Then beat well.

9Do this two or three times.
-
10Turn out on well floured board and knead until smooth.

11Shape into rolls or loaves.

12Put in well oiled pans, turning to grease both sides.

13When it rises enough, bake as other bread at 400°.

14Bake the loaves about 40 minutes, the rolls about 25 minutes.
